Is Documentation Required to Start a Live Trading Account with Vantage?
To upgrade your account’s verification status and enable live trading, you must submit valid Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) documents. This is a mandatory step to comply with industry Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
Document Requirements
- Proof of Identity (POI)
Your POI verifies who you are. It must be an official, government-issued document featuring your clear photo.
- Acceptable Documents: Passport (must include the signature page), Driver's License, National Identity Card, or Residence Card.
- Important Conditions:
- The full name must exactly match the name registered on your Vantage account.
- The date of birth must indicate you are 18 years of age or older.
- The document must be currently valid and not expired.
- If the document is double-sided or multi-page, both sides must be submitted.
- Proof of Address (POA)
Your POA verifies your current place of residence.
- Acceptable Documents: Bank Statement, Utility Bill (gas, electricity, water, phone, or internet), Government-issued Tax Document, or Certificate of Citizenship.
- Important Conditions:
- The document should be displayed in multi-color.
- Alternative Option: If you do not have the standard POA documents listed above, you may submit a secondary photo ID (like a Driver's License or National ID) that clearly displays your residential address. Note: You cannot use the same document for both your POI and POA.
Image Quality & File Conditions
To prevent your application from being delayed or rejected, ensure your uploads meet the following format criteria:
- Visibility: All four edges and corners of the document must be clearly visible in the image.
- Clarity: The image must be high-quality, clear, legible, and free from glare or blurry text.
- Accepted Formats: Photo, scan, or photocopy.
- File Types: JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF.
- File Size: Maximum of 5 MB per file.
