Is Documentation Required to Start a Live Trading Account with Vantage?
Yes. To upgrade your account’s verification status and enable live trading, Vantage requires the submission of proof of identity and proof of address documentation alongside your application, in accordance with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and industry Know Your Customer (KYC) standards.
The proof of identity (POI) document must meet the following criteria:
- The full name must match exactly with the name registered on your Vantage account.
- The date of birth must indicate the applicant is 18 years or older.
- The document must be valid and not expired.
- The document must include a clear, official photo of the account holder.
- Both sides must be submitted if it’s a double-sided or multi-page document.
- All four edges of the document must be visible.
- The image must be high-quality, clear, and legible.
- The document must be officially issued by a government authority
Acceptable proof of identity documents include:
- Valid passport includes signature page
- Valid driver's license
- Valid national identity card
*Document must be government-issued and include your full name, date of birth, photo, and expiry date.
Accepted upload formats:
- Photo
- Scan
- Photocopy (all corners must be visible)
Accepted file types (up to 5 MB):
- .jpg
- .jpeg
- .png
The proof of address (POA) document must display:
- The full name must match exactly with the name on the proof of identity document
- The residential address must be clearly shown (PO Box addresses are not accepted).
- The issue date must be within the last 6 months.
- All four edges of the document must be visible.
- The document must be high-quality, clear, and legible.
- The document should be displayed in multi-colour.
Acceptable proof of address documents include:
- Bank statement
- Utility bill (gas, electricity, water, phone, internet)
- Government-issued tax document
- Certificate of citizenship
If you’re unable to provide any of the documents listed above. You may submit a secondary photo ID that includes your residential address (e.g. driver’s license or national ID), provided it is valid and has not already been used as your proof of identity. This submission is subject to approval.
