How Is the Performance Fee for Vantage APP and Vsocial copy trading Calculated?
The Vantage Copy Trading Performance Fee is calculated based on the applicable profit-sharing percentage and eligible profits generated from copied trades. The fee is calculated automatically according to the strategy's Performance Fee settings and applicable settlement rules.
What performance fee rate applies?
Each Copy Trading strategy may have its own performance fee rate.
- Check the applicable performance fee rate in the strategy details before following a strategy.
- The performance fee rate applied to your Copy Trading account follows the settings applicable to your subscription.
What profit does the Performance Fee apply to?
The Performance Fee is based on eligible realised profits from closed positions, subject to the applicable profit-sharing and High-Water Mark (HWM) rules.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Floating profit | Unrealised profit or loss on positions that remain open. |
| Closed profit | Realised profit or loss from positions that have been closed. |
| Shareable profit | The portion of realised profit above the applicable High-Water Mark (HWM), subject to the strategy's settlement rules. |
Trading-related costs, such as spreads, commissions, and swaps, may affect the realised profit used in the Performance Fee calculation.
Depositing funds into your Copy Trading account does not, by itself, generate trading profit or automatically increase the performance fee.
How does the High-Water Mark affect the calculation?
The High-Water Mark (HWM) represents the highest previously recorded profit level used for the performance fee calculation.
- A performance fee generally applies only to new eligible profits above this level.
- If losses occur, those losses must first be recovered before additional profits become eligible for a fee.
Why might my calculation differ from the charged fee?
Applying the fee percentage to your current balance or a single profit figure may produce a different amount because the system also considers:
- The profit eligible for a performance fee.
- The applicable High-Water Mark.
- Trading costs affect realised profit.
- Your subscription timing and relevant account activity.
- The strategy’s settlement period and rules.
When comparing your calculation with the charged fee, use the applicable strategy settings and the same settlement period.
