How IB Rebates Are Calculated and Credited
This article explains how Introducing Broker (IB) rebates are calculated and when they are credited to your account. It does not cover the withdrawal process, which is addressed in a separate guide.
How Rebate Calculation Works
Rebates are generated from the trading activity of clients you have referred. When a referred client closes a trade, the rebate amount is calculated based on the applicable rebate rate for that client's account.
When Rebates Are Credited
Rebates are processed on a next-day schedule.
- Calculation and crediting: Rebates are automatically calculated and credited to your trading account the day after a referred client closes a trade.
- Example: If your client closes a trade on Monday, your rebate balance will be updated and credited to your trading account on Tuesday.
Where to View Your Rebate Statement or History
You can review your rebate activity in the Partner section of your Client Portal. The rebate history typically shows processed dates, client accounts, traded lots, commission amounts, and rebate statuses. Please log in to your Client Portal and navigate to the relevant rebate or partner reporting section to view your statement.
