Why is my copied position size different from what I expected?
Your copied position size depends on your Copy Mode, allocated funds and Copy Trading settings. The final position size is also subject to trading volume limits, available margin and account or product restrictions.
What determines my copied position size?
Your selected Copy Mode determines how the position size is calculated. Your allocated funds and other applicable Copy Trading settings may also affect the calculation.
Your copied position size may therefore differ from the Signal Provider’s position size.
What conditions can affect the final copied position size?
The calculated position size is subject to:
- Minimum and maximum trading volumes: The permitted size range for the product.
- Volume step requirements: The permitted increments in position size.
- Available margin: The margin available in your account to open copied positions.
- Account or product restrictions: Trading requirements applicable to your account or the copied product.
- Other applicable Copy Trading conditions.
Why can two Copiers receive different position sizes?
Two Copiers following the same Signal Provider may have different:
- Copy Modes.
- Allocated funds.
- Copy Trading settings.
- Account conditions.
Following the same Signal Provider, therefore, does not mean both Copiers will receive identical position sizes.
What should I check if my copied position size looks incorrect?
- Confirm the Copy Mode selected for the Signal Provider.
- Review your allocated funds and Copy Trading settings.
- Check the product’s minimum volume, maximum volume and volume step.
- Review your available margin and any applicable account or product restrictions.
Compare the copied position size with your own settings and applicable trading conditions, rather than expecting it to match the Signal Provider or another Copier.
